Question 1- What according to you are some of the top Microsoft technology trends to watch out for in 2023?

For me, without a doubt, all the low-code technology and the consolidation of the Microsoft Business Platform incorporate all the pieces of the puzzle.

I love seeing the direction it is taking and how step by step, the solutions converge and reinforce the message of approaching projects from a much more holistic perspective. Not only for new implementations but also to add functionality to existing environments, including third-party management solutions.

As a result of the Microsoft Power Platform, we were able to extend and develop our solution concept from a totally integrated perspective, resulting in a much more comprehensive transformation, not only on the functional level but also on the security and information governance levels. Also, fully integrated with the Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.

An incredible value proposition!

Question 2: What are some opportunities you would be looking at next year?

All the technology around the digitization of the industry is evolving at a tremendous rate and will bring a lot of differentiation.

Microsoft is investing heavily in accelerating the pace of solution development around this and how to take advantage of the large amount of manufacturing data that we can collect.

Being able to integrate all this information, and apply artificial intelligence to be able to plan better, even predict, is definitely a great opportunity. Historically, we always had to rely on external solutions for this type of project and integrate them, and now we have the technology to work with all this perfectly embedded in our solutions.

Question 3: Would you like to share some tips on Dynamics 365 Implementation/Migration?

I'm probably not going to say anything new, but something fundamental in any implementation process is honesty and transparency. In the world of business solutions, there is a lot of competitiveness, and you must know your strengths and weaknesses, give up where you cannot add value to your client, and rely on trusted collaborators for whatever you need.

Knowing how to say “NO” is complicated, but it is a very good practice.

On the other hand, when we talk about migrations, it is vital to consider whether a "migration" makes sense or really carry out a reimplementation process. Basically, because the needs of companies evolve or change over the years, it is more than likely that the conception of the original project was made under different paradigms and with the technological limitations of that moment.

Question 4: What is the potential for Microsoft Partners in Spain?

Well, obviously, there is still a lot to be done in terms of the transition from on-premises solutions to the cloud, there is clearly a great opportunity here, especially if we propose more complete project approaches (holistic, as I mentioned at the beginning).

On the other hand, low-code technologies are booming, and many companies are beginning to incorporate them, generating a multitude of solutions with their own teams. This implies the opportunity to train these teams and to help with the governance of these types of environments. And, of course, carry out the developments in these clients as partners when they require it.

Question 5: How can we leverage Microsoft 365 and Power Apps for improved collaboration?

"Dirk Gently's: Holistic Detective Agency" had a great leitmotif where "everything is connected" was constantly repeated.

The same thing happens with Microsoft's approach, for me, today, a project without Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure is inconceivable. All the pieces help us to compose our puzzle, and they all fit perfectly.

In many companies, Microsoft Teams has a great role, being the collaboration platform where we invest more time in our daily work. With the existing integration between Power Apps (and the rest of the Power Platform), Dynamics 365, and Teams, the best user and collaboration experience is guaranteed.

What is the best event that you attended recently? What were your key takeaways?

Of course, BizzSummit ES is the leading business solutions event in Spain, with various incredible ways to participate: hackathons, interviews, workshops, technical sessions, business sessions, etc.

In addition, it is a very inclusive and open event, with many parallel sessions to choose from and with world-class Speakers.

It aligns with this current project approach, where multiple technologies are seen, from specific topics such as Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics 365 Finance to Artificial Intelligence, security, or information governance.

What’s your success mantra?

Well, the reality is that I don't have a success mantra. Of course, every morning, I wake up giving thanks for what I have, and I try to be consistent when I act with my principles and my way of thinking. And I always keep an optimistic and open attitude. I really like learning and sharing the little I know.

If there is something that can resemble success, it is undoubtedly being lucky to be able to surround myself with an impressive team, with people much more intelligent and capable than me. I admire and respect them a lot.
